About
Paul R. Jones is a Michigan licensed attorney (P42171) and a Detroit College of Law (now at Michigan State University in East Lansing) Graduate, class of 1988. Additionally I have a Bachelor (1975) and Master of Science (1978) degree with concentrations in Biology and Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University.
Since 1989, I have practiced law both as an associate and privately as a sole general practitioner. I am a member of the Wayne County Criminal Defense Bar, the Lutheran Attorney’s in Witness Michigan chapter, and I also provide service “of counsel” to several experienced State and Federal trial and appellate attorneys. Of counsel means that I have a close working relationship with these attorneys, regularly work with these attorneys, and collaborate with them. We are not a firm and we do not collaborate on every case. The following is a brief description of those attorneys and/or firms. I share space with the The Associate Attorneys of Michigan, a general practice law firm which handles high quality defense of individuals charged with a variety of non capital crimes, as well as divorce and business litigation. My private practice has included a variety of areas with present emphasis on criminal defense, premises liability, negligent security, personal injury. including motor vehicle accidents, social security disability, medical malpractice, toxic chemical exposure, and environmental land use & planning. I have also represented clients in cases associated with commercial and residential purchase and sale agreements, SDM & SDL liquor and retail food stamp licensing, family law including divorce and estate planning; (wills and trusts).
